GULF OF MEXICO FISHERY MANAGEMENT COUNCIL CORRUPTION
OPINION BASED ON FACTS!
RECENTLY SUSPICIOULSY THE OLD FLORIDA SPORTSMAN MAGAZINE FORUM WAS SHUT DOWN. THAT FORUM WAS A SOURCE OF EXPOSING THE INCOMPETANCE AND CORRUPTION ON THE GULF OF MEXICO FISHERY MANAGEMENT COUNCIL AND COMMITTEES. MANY THAT WERE EXPOSED WERE GLAD TO SEE IT GO. BUT SINCE IT BEARS REPEATING AND KEEPING IN THE PUBLIC'S MIND AND EYE OUR ORGANIZATION SHALL SLOWLY BUT SURELY POST ON THIS SITE AN EXPOSE OF THE GULF COUNCIL SHENANIGANS THAT WERE UP ON THE OLD FLORIDA SPORTSMAN FORUM AND AFTER THAT. WE DON'T WANT THEM TO THINK WE FORGOT THEM AS WE HAVE NOT. THE MOLE KNOWS. BUT WE WILL GET AROUND TO IT AS THE TIME COMES STAY TUNED.
The Gulf of Mexico Fishery Management Council claims that the Gulf Council is:
"Managing fishery resources to achieve the greatest harvest year after year while ensuring the health of fish stocks, ecosystems, and habitat.
The Council relies on sound science and public opinion to make fishery management recommendations that aim to balance competing interests and achieve the greatest overall benefit to the nation."
Unfortunately, not much of that is true as it is mostly Gulf Council pap BS propaganda designed to go through the legal motions while screwing the general public.

FLORIDA SPORTSMAN FORUM MARCH 2015:
"Persons are ineligible for membership on any committee or panel if that person has been convicted of a felony offense or is determined to have violated any federal or state marine regulation within the previous five years. IN ADDITION, PERSONS ARE INELIGIBLE FOR MEMBERSHIP ON ANY SCIENTIFIC COMMITTEE (SSC, SAP OR SEP) IF THAT PERSON DIRECTLY RECEIVES FUNDING FROM AN ASSOCIATION THAT LOBBIES THE COUNCIL ON FISHERY ISSUES"
